Commentary
The verse addresses the Goddess as Vaishnavi Shakti, the power associated with Vishnu, whose might has no limit. The image of a seed, bīja, presents her as the originating cause of the universe, while paramā māyā names her supreme power of manifestation and illusion. Sammohitaṃ describes the whole world as deluded, giving the Sanskrit a more specific sense than the supplied meaning's description of divine will. The closing words call the gracious Goddess muktihetuḥ, the cause of liberation, so the same divine power is linked with both worldly delusion and release from it. For a devotee today, the verse offers a prayerful way to acknowledge the limits of ordinary perception and seek the grace that leads beyond them.
