Commentary
This verse builds its force through a striking contrast. At the end of an age, even mountains can be shaken by violent cosmic winds; what seems immovable in the outer world may still tremble under extreme force. Against that image, the verse places the mind of the dhīra, the steady, patient, and courageous person. Even in kṛcchra, hardship or grave difficulty, such a mind does not move from its inner balance. The teaching is not about passivity, but about composure under pressure. A steadfast mind can face disorder without becoming disorderly itself. In the context of the PM's post, this quality becomes a national virtue: patience and steadiness help people remain united through challenges and continue moving toward progress, prosperity, and self-reliance.
