Commentary
This verse defines a paṇḍita, a truly wise person, through conduct rather than display of learning. The expression āryakarma points to noble, upright, and civilizationally worthy action; wisdom is shown by taking delight in such work, not merely by approving it in words. Bhūtikarmāṇi suggests actions that create prosperity, welfare, and flourishing for others, giving the verse a strong public-spirited dimension. The final quality is equally important: the wise person does not resent or find fault with what is beneficial. This freedom from envy makes cooperation possible, because good work is welcomed wherever it appears. In the context of nation-building and the spirit of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', the verse becomes a call for disciplined service, shared progress, and generous recognition of every contribution made for the common good.
