PM's MessageRespectful tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji, a true practitioner of service to the nation, on his birth anniversary. He regarded the upliftment of the person standing in the last row of society as the basis of nation-building and gave us the philosophy of Antyodaya, which continues to offer remarkable inspiration for public welfare. On this special occasion, let us renew our resolve to imbibe his thoughts and ideals and fulfil our social and national responsibilities.
Meaning of Yathā Yathā Prayatnaḥ Syād
The greater a person's effort and perseverance, the sooner they achieve success. Innovation is also founded on continuous effort. Therefore, it is not luck but dedicated action, courage and the resolve to transform new ideas into reality that pave the way for both success and innovation.

Commentary
The verse draws a direct relation between prayatna, effort, and phala, its result: as the effort increases, the fruit follows accordingly and without delay. Pauruṣa here means human initiative or exertion, set against the habit of treating outcomes as the work of an independent fate. The second line makes the claim sharper by saying that what is called daiva may itself be understood as the effect of such effort. This does not promise that every wish succeeds automatically; it asks a person to act instead of surrendering responsibility to luck. In the accompanying post, the call to serve those at the margins gives this teaching a public setting, where ideals must become sustained work and fulfilled duties.
