PM's MessageHumanity's well-being lies in protecting and respecting nature. Our tradition, too, inspires us to follow this righteous way of living.
Meaning of Lokapālāśca Te Sarve Vāsavapramukhāstathā
A life lived in harmony with nature and righteousness is the foundation of happiness, security, and well-being. Therefore, may the guardians of the directions, the principal deities led by Indra, the six seasons, all months, years, nights, days, and auspicious moments always bring blessings and prosperity. May the Vedas, sacred traditions, and righteousness also protect everyone in every way and at all times.

Commentary
This blessing gathers the guardians of the world and the great measures of time into one protective circle. The six seasons, months, years, nights, days, and auspicious moments make human life part of a larger natural rhythm rather than something separate from it. Svasti is a wish for enduring well-being, while pātu turns that wish into a prayer for protection from every side. The final line places śruti, smṛti, and dharma alongside the cosmic powers, joining sacred knowledge, remembered tradition, and righteous conduct in the same blessing. In the Ramayana, these words form part of Kausalya's benediction to her son, giving the repeated putra an intimate tenderness. The accompanying post draws a modern lesson from this vision: respecting and protecting nature is a dharmic way of seeking the welfare of humanity.
